Staff Development FAQs
1. How do I register for a staff development class?
Visit the staff development website, login (first name_last name and Kronos password) and click on “register for classes”. An email is generated which confirms your enrollment.
2. What if I need to unenroll myself from a class?
In your staff development account, go to “view schedule”, click on unenroll. You should receive an email confirming that you unenrolled yourself from the class. No further action is needed.
3. How do I register for Institute Day?
Email notifications are sent to all staff alerting them to the registration windows for Institute Day. Follow the directions in these emails. Or, on the left side click on “Institute Day Classes” and register like you do for other staff development classes. An email is sent confirming your registration.
4. How do I check what I’m registered for?
Login to the staff development website and click on “view schedule”, or refer to the email that was sent to you confirming your registrations.
5. How do I fill out an evaluation of the class I took?
After your class is done, the evaluation is live. Once you login to the staff development website, click on “view schedule”. Look under “classes scheduled” and click on “complete evaluation”. Your evaluation answers go to a database. When we pull the report from the database it is anonymous. The evaluations will be shared with planning groups and instructors as appropriate.
6. How do I get my Evidence of Completion?
After the class is finished and the sign in sheets gets back to the Staff Development department, we verify attendance. This could take up to a week, or more if it’s a big day like Institute Day. Once your attendance is verified and we mark it in our system, your Evidence of Completion goes live. To access it, login to the staff development website, click on “view schedule” and then look under “classes attended”. A link to your Evidence of Completion should be there.
7. Where can I find opportunities for staff development outside the district?
A link on the main page of the staff development website says “Local Professional Development Opportunities”. Click to see postings of any workshops, cohorts and other opportunities of which we are aware.
8. What do I do if I’d like to propose a class?
Once you login to the staff development website there is a link to “Event Proposals”. Use this link to submit a class proposal. Keep in mind that proposals are reviewed within a week. We will evaluate proposals against a rubric and targeted goals to determine needs.
9. How can I check my college course approvals, transcripts and stipend progress?
To check if your college course approvals have been entered in your account, to track your step/lane changes and to check your stipends, please login to the staff development website and click on “transcripts” or “stipends” on the left.

10. How do I edit my profile?
At the beginning of each school year and any time there are changes to your position, we ask that you edit your profile. This allows us to have the most current information for planning and data collection. To edit your profile login to the staff development website and click on “edit profile” on the left. Once in that screen, click on “edit” at the bottom, make changes, and click “update profile”.
