How did I get into Staff Development?
I had the pleasure of working with outstanding educators across the district in writing curriculum, and providing staff development for reading, social studies, health, math and writing. I thoroughly enjoy working with new teachers, and learning from the excellent leaders who were always on the Institute Planning Committee and Staff Development Committees over the years (you know who you are!) I continuously seek ways to move us into a more connected district 204 learning community, in which we can learn from the best practices that occur in our buildings every day, as well as outside sources.
My Passion:
Working with teachers to continually foster increased levels of staff development that meet the NSDC standards and the research on adult learners. Sharing the connected vision of all departments working together to enhance all students abilities to exceptional levels. We are continuously looking for new ways to share the great work that goes on in our schools each day through staff development.

How did I get into Staff Development?
Throughout my years in education I constantly provided both formal and informal staff development opportunities for my colleagues in all areas, and especially technology. The opportunity to extend that to in a district wide focus was exciting to me. I have enjoyed coordinating staff development opportunities for all areas and all levels of staff members in IPSD 204 and have especially enjoyed meeting and learning from so many of my colleagues.
My Passion:
Bringing technology and ways to integrate it into curriculum is a passion of mine. Student engagement is natural, and highlighted, with the right tools and methods for true integration of the technology available to us. I enjoy helping people learn how to make technology work for them professionally and with students. I also enjoy learning every day, which is not a difficult task to accomplish with all that is going in our busy district.

Professional Development for all staff, Student Engagement, Technology and Technology Integration with Core Curriculum

I enjoy family time with my husband Mike (also in education) and our two young boys, Jack and Charlie.
